My day trips in recent times have been using the 'stride enhancer' to get to Braeriach via the wee path, that fades after a bit, to get to the high ground using the ridge between Coire an Lochain and Coire Ruadh and another earlier by way of the slopes north of Loch Mhic Ghille-chaoile. I love this way to Braeriach, climbing gently through lovely Caledonian pine forest onto open moorland with corrie scalloped Braeriach rising in the distance, huge and brooding. W esternmost of the high Cairngorms, Sgor Gaoith is the high point of a broad ridge forming the west side of Gleann Loch Einich canvas.
